Jehovah Made the Dars [Stars] !!!
Two years old he laughs and smiles
That “boogs” [bugs]
Can silently hover,
Then slowly fly away,
Exit through a door
He laughs.
It's “funny!”
“Pree fwowers” [pretty flowers]
In tiny detail to examine
Smell good!
(But you still need to learn to
Sniff the fragrance IN,
Instead of OUT and away -
Not to be confused with blowing
The fuzzy tops off dandelions,
Watching the seeds float off in the air.)
Water – its great!Hours of fun!!!You can roar, like a baby lion,
At deer - start to chase 'em,
And they dash away!
And BUBBLES!
They're round, rainbow-shiney
They float down
And you can POP them!
Another one, and another one,
And another one!
You've quickly added words,
Copying and absorbing
So much around you,
So you can stand there now
And tell me what you want
And how you see the world.
And I will listen;
Admiring your beautiful little face
Softest skin,
Big, sincere, inquiring,
And joyful eyes
Tiny mouth that asks these questions
And extra, extra long eyelashes.
What eager hopes you fill,
At two,
When I see you act with kindness,
With love,
With altruism.
You warm my heart,
As you bear testimony
To the inborn right.
But none such as this
(Besides the time you pretended
You were giving a speech
From the Bible!):
You've been outside, yes,
And we told you, looking up,
That Jehovah made the stars;
But now you sit there,
Watching peaceful pictures
Of pastel galaxies And space fabrics of stars
On a big screen.
A narrator says the name Jehovah.
You look up at your “Pah-Bop” (Grandpa)
With the biggest eyes,
And say:
“JEHOVAH MADE THE 'DARS' [STARS] ??!! "
“Yes! Jehovah made the stars!”
He answers, we answer.
My heart and eyes overflow.
Dawn breaks through
In a new one, again.

Songs of Freedom, Truth, Peace, and Love (August 2003...)
Grandpa, if I could tell you
To sooth a weary soul
You're right, this world keeps rollin'
With mixed-up, messed-up goals.
Yeah, some'll hate you if you try
To even briefly slow their wheels
Flag them down to turn around,
Read the map to the Way that's real.
But Grandpa, its still worth trying
To show people what's true
If we've learned it, we're supposed to share it
It's what the Good Book says to do.
We need to drive to songs of freedom,
With light and peace and love
Speak and sing Jah's words of truth,
Share directions from above.
Yes, there's many depressed souls
Saying: "No! Things are NOT right!
Shouldn't be people starvin'
Shouldn't have to live in fright."
And those fallen angels, they're not helping
You know they wanted to be bad
Now they're giving us more trouble here
Than this world has ever had.
We can look back on last century
200 million, maybe more
Died at the hands of "neighbors" gone mad
In false religion-backed wars.
So many need songs of freedom
Of light and peace and love
Sure HOPE from God's own promises
True help from him above.
Take heart, Grandpa - there's more like you
Tired of injustice, lies and tears
But God has said he'll turn things around
Once all've had their chance to hear!
Gone will be wars and the harmful
Disasters, sickness, pain
Earth will be a GREEN GARDEN
Paradise under Christ's reign.
Then we'll sing songs of freedom
Of lasting peace and love
With joyful hearts and guitar strings
We will thank Jah above.
(I wrote this in response to "Falling From Above" from Neil Young's "Greendale" show, back when.)
No One You Know, I Think (2004...)
I liked it when he called me lassie
He said I looked Irish too
'Pulled a harmonica from his coat,
'Said, "I'll play a something for you."
I inquired of his blue eyes
With his accent loved to get in tune
He said, "This world is wild, lassie
'Got the Armageddon blues."
He said, "It's all gone crazy
I think the end is near."
I said,"Like in Revelation?
But the good don't need to fear."
So I recommended listening
To my friends from where he came
Who speak of God's Kingdom coming
And glorify Jehovah's name.
But he said, "Now see here, lassie,
I can tell from your eyes
That you get some people to listen to you
But you won't get this guy."
He said, "I'm [of Christendom]."
I said, "So was I."
He said, "That's mostly what we got back home",
And the numbers went through my mind:
(Hmm...
Eleven hundred
To 1...
There's work to be done
I want a piece of that fun...)
"You've got to think globally, lassie."
I thought, try universally.
'Cause it's gonna take God to stop earth's blues
That's the reality.
Just then a lady in long veil and skirt
Peacefully walked on by.
He called senseless words of hate to her
And his song, like his speech, went dry.
I thought, that's some religion you've got
And thinking on a global scale
But this just shows once more again
That without Jah's truth people fail.
Monotone Lies From a Scratched Record (2004...)
Lie-lovers drone the same old lines
'Heard it all before
Can be wearing to the minds
Of those who've learned there's more.
More than man's philosophies
To try to defend wrong
Live music from the voice of God
Moves humble ones along.
Can I say anything to bump your needle
Out of the rut it rides?
No - all I can do is tell God's truth
Then its you who must decide.
But if you want to lift the arm
Of your old record player,
Listen, there's full songs for you
From what God has been sayin'.
The Dyin' Lyin' (2004...)
Soon liars will be gone
Their trouble won't be missed
Though sometimes
They get an upper hand now
By Satan's wickedness.
But God said long ago
That the days would come to this
Some people would teach
Dumb old lies
To defend selfishness.
Reasoning out the window
They know not of what they speak
All that matters
Is to tatter truth
Ruin the way, and sound elite.
And some evil have no scruples
God himself they don't fear
So they'll desperately try
Even harmful lies
As Armageddon draws near.
But liars will be gone
Someday, somehow
They won't be missed
Even if they once were friends
Or people that we kissed.
Original Religion (2004...)
Original religion
Our True Creator's way
Same as first in Eden
Has been brought through to our day.
Complications happened
When man disobeyed
But that never stopped pure worship
Even with Satan in the way.
Truth lovers always seek God
Their hearts, they tell them to
They're moved to want to thank God
How 'bout you, how 'bout you?
And Jehovah's always answered
The ones who are sincere
Leads them where they need to go,
To words they need to hear.
It's been a long time coming
But we're here now at "the end"
God, he's made provisions
For all who'd be his friends.
Through his Son, he made a way
For life that will not end
A global family worships now
Like at the start in Eden.
Truth lovers always seek God
Their hearts, they tell them to
They're moved to want to thank God
How 'bout you, how 'bout you?
And that happy paradise
For humans who obey
With just original religion
Will soon be here to stay.
Too Common (2004)
Most people walk a common way
A mainstreet road of ease
Buy what false gods suit them
Say, "See, I believe."
But trend-books that they purchase
And man-pleasers on TV
Won't tell whole truth, 'cause it won't sell
Or win popularity.
Will you choose from a million idols
Or make one out of you,
Be guided by mere men
Or seek what's really true?
Me, I'll pick Jehovah
The One who's never let me down
Then in his new world here
We'll see who's left around.
Would you thank a lifeless idol
For a newborn son?
Or see the moon rise and thank yourself
For a job well-done?
Or is there a lesson learned
In grateful people's eyes:
Humble oneself to the Maker
Isn't that more wise?
Don't be molded by the common
Or crave self-sparing lies
To exchange truth for falsehood
Is to sell out to die.
Me, I'll thank Jehovah
The One who's never let me down
Then in his new world here
We'll see who's left around.
